Pilates
is an exercise method whose focus is on strengthening
the "powerhouse", largely the abs and
buttocks. The exercises are designed to increase
flexibility, strengthen muscles and improve posture.
Pilates requires a great deal of concentration,
coordination of breath and movement, thereby helping to
balance mind and body.
To simplify
matters, FullFitness has broken down various pilates
routines into either novice, intermediate,
expert. Choose whichever skill level you feel
most comfortable with and always remember to warmup
before any form of exercise.
